Pages for Saundra's book

These are the pages I created for Saundra's book. Her theme is "Asia." I really coveted this beautiful little book when it was at my house. It is one of the loveliest books I've ever worked in. For these pages, I used lots of Asian bits that my friend, Cindy provided. I tried to show "old" Asia on one page and a more modern Asia on the second page. I always love working with the Asian theme, and really enjoyed working on these pages.

My Shakespeare Book

Here is one of the pages from my Shakespeare book. It's the theme of my latest round robin altered journal. I'm looking forward to seeing what the other artists contribute. All I asked was that a snippet of Shakespeare's work be included on the layout.
This will be the last page of the book, so I thought the quote from King Lear "The wheel is come full circle, I am here, " was a good fit. I used my Caran D'arche crayons on this spread. I love those crayons. They can be used in so many ways.
It will be several months before this book find its way home. But I know it will be beautiful when it arrives.

First Post!

I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog for some time. Guess it is a good project for a beastly hot Missouri day! The blog is definitely a work in progress. I am struggling to get it to look just right. In the meantime, I'm happy with it. Check out the picture of our little dog, Indy. He's the first small dog I've ever had--and he is a character. Thanks for stopping by! Visit again soon, and hopefully I will have posted some art!
